Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon Sword of Destiny trailer

Even though it’s been fifteen (!) years since Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon took our collective breaths away with its gravity-defying fight sequences, watching the trailer for Netflix’s film sequel Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny will transport you back in an instant. It helps that Michelle Yeoh returns as the warrior Yu Shu Lien. Joining her in this installment are Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Roger Yuan, Eugenia Yuan, Natasha Liu Bordizzoas, and Glee‘s Harry Shum, Jr., on various sides of a race to find the eponymous sword.

Netflix also released a synopsis:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny tells an epic story of lost love, young love, a legendary sword and one last opportunity at redemption, set against breathtaking action in an epic martial arts battle between good and evil that will decide the fate of the Martial World.

Now, is this the Green Destiny sword from the original film, or another legendary weapon? Watch the trailer for yourself:

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny premieres February 26.

I must see this. Michelle Yeoh remains the greatest thing ever. :)

It seems like a really exciting production, but the CGI looks terrible

Please tell me the dialogue in the film will actually be in Chinese.

I think I would be more pleased about this if it wasn’t tied to CTHD – this looks to be very exciting, but a rather different beast.
